Seam Rippers
$34
A lathe-turned hardwood handle around a sharp, replaceable steel ripper — unsewing, elevated.
Made to order in the wood you pick · free U.S. shipping over $100
Nobody loves ripping seams, but a tool that fits your hand helps. Each handle is turned on the lathe from a hardwood blank, shaped with a gentle swell that rests in the curl of your fingers, burnished to a glassy feel, and finished with our all-natural oil-and-wax blend — no film to chip or wear away, just protected wood that shows its grain.
The business end is a standard sharp steel ripper with a safety ball on the short prong, seated in a brass ferrule. The insert is a common replaceable size, so when it eventually dulls you can swap it and keep the handle for life.
Every handle comes out of a different part of the board, so no two are alike — yours will be the only one with its grain.
