Details
Curly walnut on both ends, shimmering when the light moves across it, with a band of spalted maple through the center — the black ink lines are the tree’s own map, drawn before the board ever reached the shop.
Like every clapper on this bench, it’s built in two layers: a cherry base under the figured top, weighted so the mass — not your arm — sets the seam while it cools. Sanded to 320 grit, edges eased so they never mark fabric, sole left bare to drink the steam. You’re buying this exact clapper — the photos are the piece.
