Details

Toss a pin at it from across the cutting mat and it sticks. A strong rare-earth magnet sits sealed inside the wood, so the whole rounded top is the catch: pins snap flat against it, line themselves up with the pull, and stay put when the holder rides along in a tote or gets knocked off the table.

The shapes are organic on purpose. Each holder starts as an offcut from the clapper bench — walnut, maple, figured maple, mahogany, or cherry — and gets carved to whatever pebble the grain suggests, then sanded smooth and finished with our all-natural oil-and-wax blend on every face. No two are the same shape, and the figured maple ones especially are little landscapes.

Pick the wood; the shape that ships will be its own. The magnet never touches your pins with bare metal, so there’s nothing to rust and nothing to scratch a needle plate.
